Human Dignity
Neoliberalism is the official state quasireligion and it is quickly plummeting a once great nation into sheer madness and delusion. A prime example of this madness is the fact that the Biden Administration recently issued the first ‘non-binary’ passport:
The U.S. State Department has issued the first official passport with the gender marker "X," a change the Biden administration promised earlier this year to make the documents more inclusive for people who identify as nonbinary, intersex and gender non-conforming.
The department will be able to offer the option to all passport applicants once it finishes updating its systems and forms by early 2022, according to State Department spokesperson Ned Price.
"I want to reiterate, on the occasion of this passport issuance, the Department of State's commitment to promoting the freedom, dignity, and equality of all people – including LGBTQI+ persons," Price said in a statement on Wednesday.
Ned Price attempts to justify the madness by appealing to human dignity. As always, neoliberalisms concept of human dignity is an inversion and distortion of its traditional meaning. In its traditional meaning, human dignity is:
rooted in his creation in the image and likeness of God (article 1); it is fulfilled in his vocation to divine beatitude (article 2). It is essential to a human being freely to direct himself to this fulfillment (article 3). By his deliberate actions (article 4), the human person does, or does not, conform to the good promised by God and attested by moral conscience (article 5). Human beings make their own contribution to their interior growth; they make their whole sentient and spiritual lives into means of this growth (article 6). With the help of grace they grow in virtue (article 7), avoid sin, and if they sin they entrust themselves as did the prodigal son to the mercy of our Father in heaven (article 8). In this way they attain to the perfection of charity".
Human dignity is found in our nature as persons created in the image of God. Part of our dignity is the union of body and soul from which it follows that Man was created both male and female. We fulfill our dignity by seeking the True, Good and Beautiful and avoiding sin. The neoliberal concept of ‘dignity’ is that each human being is self-created and self-defined according to his own reason and will — freed from the oppressive chains of history, tradition, family, nation, religion and nature — a demigod in his own personal sphere. It is essentially anti-dignity.
